1. Seed Preparation & Conditioning

The journey to high-quality oil begins with rigorous seed preparation. Raw castor seeds (Ricinus communis) arriving at the Nova Industries facility undergo a multi-stage cleaning process to remove foreign matter (sand, stems, stones).

  • Dehulling (Decortication): While the seed hull contains negligible oil, it absorbs oil during extraction if left intact. We utilize high-capacity mechanical decorticators to remove the outer shell. This increases the extraction efficiency and reduces the pigment load in the final oil.
